PERFECT ROYAL ALBERT Tea Cups Trios Plates DEVON Crown China Gold Gilt IMARI Set
Fantastic condition antique set of trios by Royal Albert Crown China. The pattern is called Devon, and is an Imari style of decoration with roses and gold paint. The gold paint has been applied by hand.
16 ITEMS: 4 Cups, 6 saucers (5.5 inches / 14cm), 6 Bread / tea side plates (7 inches / 18cm). That's 4 complete "trios" and extra plates to use for more sandwiches and cakes. The gold paint is not worn at all. It is very rare to see the gold paint still as shiny as it was the day they were made, especially on the cup handles and rim.
The surface of the glaze does have light scuffs from when they have been stacked, but there are no cutlery marks or what I would call scratches. IMPORTANT: One of the saucers has two fine lines right in the centre that look a lot like a fracture - please see photo. The weight is over 2kg.
