LOWER MINTAGE: Mintage has been lowered from 1,500 to 1,250 in 2019. While the 2018 Big Coins had a mintage of 1,500, the mintage for the new 2019 issue is just 1,250. PLUS a free wooden presentation case to store and display them all side-by-side.
BIG COIN SERIES: THE FLYING LOON. The reverse features a reproduction of the design that graced the proof and specimen dollar coins issued in 1997.To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Canada's 1-dollar circulation piece, Canadian artist Jean-Luc Grondin offered his own take on the iconic reverse by depicting the loon taking flight. BIG COIN SERIES: 25-CENT COIN. Fine silver version of the 25-cent coin features Emanuel Hahn's iconic caribou design, which was first issued in 1937.
